*Let Your Light So Shine*
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.
William Booth experienced a harsh childhood due to his alcoholic father who didn’t take proper care of his family. But at fifteen years, he found salvation and solace in a Methodist chapel, and vowed to give all of himself to serving God.
Driven by a burning passion for evangelism, Booth began preaching outdoors, especially to the poor masses on the cities. Sensing he had a unique calling to the poor, he left his pastorate and launched a movement that not only preached salvation but also addressed physical needs. He led his global ministry until his death in 1912, leaving a legacy that now spans 119 countries with 1.7 million members.
