Terms of Use for MikroGigs

Welcome to MikroGigs. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the “Agreement”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.  

MikroGigs is a platform that connects users seeking professional services, including but not limited to digital marketing, graphic design, virtual chat, and personal assistance. Our platform is not responsible for any agreements or interactions that occur outside the scope of the gig services offered through the website.       

1. General Terms           

    • Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use MikroGigs. By using this platform, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
    • Account Creation: To use our platform, you must create an account. You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information during the registration process. You agree to maintain the confidentiality of your account details and are responsible for all activities under your account.     

2. Platform Usage

    • Professional Services: MikroGigs connects users with various professional services such as digital marketing, graphic design, virtual chat, and more. All services listed on the platform are intended for legal and ethical purposes.
    • Service Listings: Users are required to accurately describe the services they offer. All services must comply with the platform's content guidelines and local laws. The platform reserves the right to remove any listings that violate these terms. 

3. Prohibited Activities

    • Illegal Activities: Users are strictly prohibited from offering, promoting, or engaging in illegal activities. This includes, but is not limited to, services related to sex work, trafficking, exploitation, or any unlawful conduct.
    • Adult Content: MikroGigs does not allow explicit adult content or services outside the Virtual Chat Matecategory. Any adult services offered through the platform must adhere to the guidelines set for this category. All content must be professional and respectful.
    • Harassment and Abuse: Harassment, abuse, or any form of harmful behavior towards other users is strictly prohibited.
    • Inappropriate Language: Users are not allowed to use obscene, offensive, or inappropriate language on the platform, including in messages, gig descriptions, or profiles. Any such content will be removed, and users may face account suspension or termination.

4. Platform Liability

    • Exemption from Liability: MikroGigs is not liable for any agreements, transactions, or interactions made between users beyond the services listed on the platform. The platform is not responsible for the delivery or quality of services provided outside the gig scope.
    • Third-Party Services: Payment processing and other third-party services (e.g., Paystack, Monnify) are subject to their own terms and conditions. MikroGigs is not responsible for issues related to third-party services.
    • User Disputes: Any disputes or issues regarding the delivery of services or payments must be resolved directly between the involved users. MikroGigs will assist with resolution within the platform’s guidelines, but will not mediate personal agreements.

5. Payments and Refunds

    • Service Fees: MikroGigs charges a service fee on transactions conducted on the platform. The fee is clearly outlined during the gig purchase process.
    • Payment Methods: Payments for services on MikroGigs can be made through supported payment gateways (e.g., Paystack, Monnify, etc.). Users must comply with the terms of these payment providers.
    • Refunds: Refunds for services are only applicable if the service is not delivered as described in the gig listing. Users must report any service issues via the platform's ticketing system. Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

6. User Responsibilities

    • Accurate Information: Users must provide accurate information about their services and maintain transparency during the transaction process.
    • Legal Compliance: All services offered on the platform must comply with local laws, including but not limited to intellectual property, data protection, and tax regulations.
    • Age Verification: Users must verify their age during the registration process. MikroGigs reserves the right to request proof of identity and age before granting access to certain services.

7. Reporting and Moderation

    • Report Abuse: Users can report any inappropriate content, abuse, or violation of platform rules via the reporting system. All reports will be reviewed within 24 hours, and appropriate action will be taken.
    • Content Moderation: MikroGigs uses automated and manual moderation tools to ensure that services and content comply with platform guidelines. Services that violate the platform’s rules will be removed.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

    • Data Collection: MikroGigs collects personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy. By using our platform, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
    • Third-Party Data: If you use third-party services for payment processing or communication, those services may collect your personal data. MikroGigs is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

9. Termination and Suspension

    • Account Suspension: MikroGigs reserves the right to suspend or terminate a user’s account if they violate the Terms of Use, engage in illegal activities, or fail to comply with platform guidelines.
    • Termination by User: Users can terminate their account at any time by contacting customer support or following the account deletion process on the platform.       

10. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

    • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from the use of the platform will be resolved in accordance with the laws of Nigeria. Users agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nigeria for any legal matters.
    • Arbitration: Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled through binding arbitration, under the rules of Nigerian Constitution, at the user’s cost.

11. Miscellaneous

    • Amendments: MikroGigs reserves the right to update or amend these Terms of Use at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notifications. Continued use of the platform after changes signifies acceptance of the new terms.
    • Force Majeure: MikroGigs is not responsible for delays or failure in service caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, government actions, or technical failures.
